You are right, they should have cast an alien like he was in the show!
The biggest problem with this movie it seems they got the attitude of the characters all wrong.

just saying. everyone else in the movie is of asian descent. why cast a whitey for the main role then? doesn't make sense. clearly goku didn't differ from the rest of the character's in the show haha

except that he had a tail and everyone else in the show actually was asian.
Don't think that I am defending this film, I think its going to suck hard.
Back in the 80's in China there was an unofficial Dragonball live action movie. It is all over the place and impossible to follow, and its shot like a 90 minute episode of Power Rangers.
So i give to you:
Dragonball: The Magic Begins (part 9/9, warning spoilers like you give a shit haha)
