You played Junkie XL - More (Matthew Dekay Remix) Jan 12th 08 I think it was.
But you played with a lot of effects on the song am I right? Would you mind sharing your secret recipe? Maybe like what effects you used and stuff.
I am just getting in to DJ'ing and I am trying to replicate your take on this song.
Thanks
Also, what does the robot effect on the DJM-800 do? I just have traktor pro, but if I ever get the chance to DJ in front of a crowd I suppose I will have a DJM800 to play with....and I want to know what the effect does heh.
Also is there a way to preview the effects before you actually play them? Because they seem to take a lot of precision with getting the effect just right.

ah take it easy guys... I think it was ok to post this here in case someone else wanted to provide some insight.
Yeah I played that at localized and I think its crazy how you bring that up now so long after. I couldn't tell you exactly what I did to that specific track during the mix that night because everything is spontaneous and decided at that very moment.
A few "go-to" effects on the DJM-800 are the Crush and Filter. The crush creates a distorted sound while filtering the sound up or down. The Filter simply only allows low-frequency sounds or hi-frequency sounds pass through depending on which way you turn the knob. You can use the filter to create smoother mixes, emphasize a build or create tension.
I also use delay and flanger on the selectable efx section on the lower right. The delay effect can enhance a groove or stutter a sound and the flanger creates a whoosing noise.
As for the Robot, I rarely if ever have used it but it is a vocoder type effect.
