Hello fellow addicts, this is a track I started last night. It is in no way finished, I just would like to get some opinions on the sound quality please.

This track, what I am goin for is....

Begining I want to sound minimal/electro, then at the end of what you will hear, that is gonna be the breakdown, and I was thinking to bring some trance elements in at this point. Basically what you will hear is only half of the track, and the half you hear is not done either. I'm gettin tired of throwing tracks away, so I plan to finish this one but, my question is- is it worth finishing?

Im into this sort of stuff and its nice. It is a minimal track defo not a electro track not busy enough. If you bring in trance elements you gonna up the energy of the kick? Right now if i turned the radio on late at night on a weekend and i wanted to chill = fine. If i bought it hoping for an electro song then i wouldnt be so happy.

Processing a highly structured and complex pattern of sensory input as a unified percept of "music" is probably one of the most elaborate features of the human brain.....understanding how music is perceived and how it may elicit intense sensations is far from being understood.

this is great, i can see you adding lots of sampled elements, i can see an egyptian ney flute working with this really well

i say don't bring any trance elements in it, it will just ruin the already complex background sounds you have in this. keep it simple and just add some atmospheric depth to it, no big melodies

maybe a little bit too random sounding?...thinking about the melody

Thanks for the comments, I was thinking of starting to add some samples maybe, I have already changed it somewhat and got rid of some of the randomness in the high end. I'm saving multiple versions so I don't lose anything, but, already have takin out the bassline sound, I may or may not put it back and truth is, I'm not sure if I want it to go trancy or not. I do like the minimal type of sound that it is bringing, I may just add a few elements, I'm not sure.

Truth is, I have never attempted to make a minimal track, but, I do love minimal if it is produced correctly.

Nobody has commented on the sound quality. Too much bass? Highs? In the newest version which I will post as soon as I get to add a couple elements, I have done alot more with panning, and well just the image and depth in general.

I have some trance tunes in the works too but, as usual I get stuck around the middle of them and never finish them. Working on that!
