Ive owned a Virus TI Snow for a while now but i havent really felt
comfortable using it mainly because im experiencing strange quirks.
Im using FL Studio 8 which was a pain to set up PDC in the mixer
to get a functional template setup.
My main problem is that when using the virus control it just feels
so slow, when i press midi key there is a small uncomfortable latency.
has anyone experienced any simular problems? or got any tips? i think
my machine is pretty high spec, its an intel duo core with 3gb ram
and im using a yamaha mw10 usb mixer with latest drivers as my audio interface, since currently its a pain to fit my creative sound blaster x-fi into my case.

I've heard that the new OS doesn't work with FL 8. I still haven't had any luck using it with it Mine doesn't play in sync, even if the PDC is set correctly.

dam, its quite annoying since the hardware wasn't exactly cheap
and i have been an owner of FL Studio for since version 4,,
maybe its time to change DAW? i have been considering changing
to LIVE, but im not really that keen to take that step.

I have a Virus TI Polar and it works pretty well with Reaper. I wouldn't say I've done extensive testing or have used it a lot in Reaper (Cubase is my main sequencer), but as much tinkering as I've done it Reaper, it seems to work without any issues.

The small uncomfortable delay is the PDC

My Virus TI also played out of sync with Fruity so moved on to Cubase. Never spent too much time troubleshooting but just expected it to work well. It didn't!!
i am so glad i sold all my hardware, i could never get it to work right. nord was the one i was closest with tho so i might buy another one some day but not now.

Cubase's external instrument capabilities work perfect for me. I have tons of hardware and have never had a problem.
