For example, in soundforge: open your sample, make a selection you want to loop, then double click on the top bar (where the time numbers are) and it will open up the "edit sample" dialog
from there, you can play around with different sample types (one shot, sustaining, sustaining with release) Most of your instrument samples, like for pads, are going to be sustaining with release.
in the "loop to edit" click Sustaining, and it should automatically use the part you selected as the loop in the start/end boxes. then hit okay, save the sample as something else, and take a look at it in flp. the red lines should be there, and it should work the way you want
