Love Ambient / experimental tracks

In fall of 2006 I made a few ambient and experimental tracks, mostly using a lot of manipulation of samples and a little synth work. I then set out to make an entire ambient album, but I never ended up getting quite enough done to justify calling it an "album;" there's about twenty-six minutes in total.

The production on these is pretty rough, but I think they have some nice atmosphere:

Thanks!

I really enjoy doing this kind of stuff because there aren't any constraints on what kinds of sounds you have to put in or leave out, or what kind of rhythms or tempos you can use, or anything. It's like having a completely blank, limitless canvas where you can spread out any type of sound you want. Very freeing experience as a producer.

I sense the next Brian Eno. You much of an Arksun, Vangelis, and/or Eno fan?

BTW, Rushing, Waves of the Shore, Tunnel, Let It Fall, The Sky is Made of Gold, and The Possible are great. They set the perfect mood of ambience for me. I am truly moved. Please find some more inspiration for newer tracks--I would love to hear them.

Wow, thanks!

Eno has been one of my favorite producers for a long time, and listening to his works is a big part of my inspiration for the ambient stuff I do.

That's exactly my opinion!

All of the tracks in this album are great (except Sugar).
Good job!

Exactly as I think too. I've also made a couple of down-tempo tracks, www.myspace.com/oltha, not this calm tough

Cool tracks. Some really neat sounds in there. That's what I love about this kind of stuff: it leaves you free to experiment in any direction you like. As long as it sounds interesting, you can probably find a way to fit it in, with no concern about whether it will necessarily be "club-friendly."

This certainly stays on the computer. Great soundscapes and atmosphere in all tracks, Rushing and Tunnel did really satisfy me
Great work and thanks Mr Jingles!

Very soothing and nice. However, my personal preference is that I would have liked it if some of these tracks were made into downtempo tracks. For example, I think the track, "Watch the Shore" would be great if you add some sort of a downtempo beat to the orchestral melody after a minute or so (sorta like Moby-Porcelain). But obviously, this is my personal preference and you probably had something different in mind. Anyway, good job!
