Processing a highly structured and complex pattern of sensory input as a unified percept of "music" is probably one of the most elaborate features of the human brain.....understanding how music is perceived and how it may elicit intense sensations is far from being understood.

percussion sounds pretty good with that reverb
very natural.. mixing is nice, nice compression also..
uhm... maybe, just maybe high end is a little bit too louad comparing to the rest.. but thats just the preference of my personal taste.

low end is nice, kick n bass combo is very good..

rhythm is present, concept is definatelly there.
perhaps lack of instrumentation.. and arrangement could use some work, in terms of making structure more interesting and unique, usually people want to predict whats going to happen next in a trance song, perhaps an interesting and unique brake down, etc

overall, i like it, your ace here is kick n bass, which i think is just perfect at least to me ears...

Melodic content: The melodies and chord progression "work" on a basic level, but they didn't really engage my emotions that much.

Sound engineering: The synths sound basically professional. You should try to make some more distinctive sounds, though.

Percussion: Sounds professional, carries the track along well enough.

Mixing and mastering: Kick might be a little low in the mix, but other than that it sounds like a modern pro trance track.

Overall: You're definitely improving and you basically have a "pro sound," but I think you need to work on writing some more compelling melodic material and creating more unique synth sounds so that your tracks can really stand out from the crowd. Those two things are the hardest parts for most people, I think. I struggle with them every time I sit down to produce.

Thanks jive I agree with you the melodies work but its not tune of the year. And tbh I only know they work because they are in key and in time apart from that I get what you mean. You have confirmed what I was aiming for I focused literally weeks on mastering mixing and processing and the track only 2 days. I wanted to learn the mastering mixing side that was the aim of the track for me. I have a much stronger melodic track that is all but finished and im going to give it the same treatment quality wise but the musical elements are way stronger.

I see how some songs take months to write and are good! 2 years back when i was writing all weekend and thinking i had a finished track I must have looked silly

Listening.

Percs sounds loopy, im still waiting for the kickdrum to kick in with power, but it doesnt seem to do so.

The percussions are ok, but they seem a little loud in the mix.

Some chords in the break is nice, but doesnt seem to resolve that well.

The pads are nice, but the lead that is coming in at 2:35 doesnt sound good at all, bring the piano more upfront i`d say.
