Updated track from sonic c after feedback - What you think?

After i posted a star too far I got a ok reaction some loved it but a lot of people said it needed more going on more melodic content etc. Anyway I reworked it and here it is. It has not been through studio etc so probably not a better mix quaity but i can fix that later.

Hope you all like.

EDIT : PLEASE IGNORE RANDOM VOLUME DROP ON MAIN MELODY BEFORE DROP ITS A CUBASE MIXDOWN ISSUE

Processing a highly structured and complex pattern of sensory input as a unified percept of "music" is probably one of the most elaborate features of the human brain.....understanding how music is perceived and how it may elicit intense sensations is far from being understood.

Melodically I quite liked it. Especially when the full piano type melody kicks in after the break. A little too familiar perhaps but I did like it nonetheless.

Other aspects of the track were solid enough but in a very generic way. Nothing I haven't heard before numerous times over. Personally I'd have prefered a few surprises regarding percs, synth sounds, automation. Instead I found much of it very typical and standard if you know what I mean.

Won't bother commenting on mixdown if this isnt the finished mix.

Anyway, like I say, I did quite like the melody which I understand was what your main aim with this rework was.

With a bit more work, this track would stand up against many other trance tunes. But I don't think it would stick out from the herd in anyway.

Technically you've improved a lot from what I heard when you first arrived at this forum

Thanks Gcon I think before i try to break the rules i need to know them first if you get me. If as you say i could get this to stand up againt other trance tunes production wise, and entertainment wise then I can start putting my own stamp on my music from then on. I am not into hands up trance so much anymore I like the more modern progressive, electoish sort of sound. But I know the hands up genre well so this is a learning tune for me and I am determined to get this tune finished its been 3 months work and its the first one I have really seen through till the end.

From this tune I have learned so much mixing, mastering, melody writing everything and If it does stand up at the end then im goin in the right direction and i achieved what i set out to achieve.

Thanks for feeds
