Just wondering who else here is a burner? And by that I don't just mean someone who went to burning man (just cause it's the best party on earth or whatever and miss out on the real point) but someone who is actually a burner. I feel if you fit the description you'll know exactly what I mean.
been a while since Decom and the Space Cowboys GhostShip and I'm feeling a bit disconnected. is there anything happening before new year's?

burner
A nickname for the participants of a burning event, such as Burning Man, or any of the smaller local/regional "burns" that Burning Man has inspired. The term is not considered derisive, but rather a term of endearment and self identity throughout the "burner culture."
The word derives from that fact that a variety of art work is featured at all such events, and some of it (or much of it) is intended to be set on fire and burned to ashes during the event. Indeed, all burn events climax in the ritual burning of a large, wooden effigy and/or art edifice on the final night(s) of the event.

Out of the Sense crew I'm the only burner I'm one of the execs behind the best day party on the playa at The Deep End Camp . Sadly to say we are taking a year off at the very least. We are not sure what we are going to do yet we just needed to take a little vacation. Some of us will be going back some will not. I can guarantee we will be back at some point and we may even be working on a mobile deep end art bar / stage / dj booth
I have been working w/ Syd the past few years and look forward to helping Opulent Temple all that I can again even if I don't go. Majority of burners have no idea the year round commitment & cost it takes to run these huge camps. All that gear doesn't just show up, run for a week in the dust, get broken down and cleaned all by itself. I hope that more and more people will help every year and keep the camps alive
