Love Poundin' Sensation Dumonde - Never Look Back (My version)

Hi all , While finishing of my remix of insigma open your eyes , I dont know what happened but this is the end result.

Been at it a couple of days , and apart from a proper intro and an ending , i just thought id share it with you.

Its a shame i cant get hold of the vocals, they would make a great edition to it

anyways , please have a listen a tell me what you think.

cheers in advance

ahhh....the snare rolls again, don't like them. also the precussion it kinda repetitive. the break is nice, and i think that after that is gets better. like the lead.

cheers!

The percs are pretty weak and lacking. And yes, that snare roll definitely needs to go. The reversed crash is waaaay too loud.

There is no real drive to this like the original had - mainly because of the weak percs, but also because the bassline is pretty dull and because the lead gets lost somewhere in the mix. The whole track just doesn't go anywhere.

By far not the worst remix I've heard around here but there's still plenty of work to be done, sorry.

Thanks all for the feedback.

Again it seems the main weakness is percs , ive decided a good sample pack is now needed. Anybody any favorites?

The snare roll was a last minute addition , but ill clean it up when i next look into the points you have mentioned.

For dj darroo , the pads are my Roland and Nexus for the bassy bit of the pad , because the low freq boost on the 201 nearly blew my ears off.And the main riff is Refx Vanguard , programmed from the init btw!
It was the lead in my other quarter finished remix of insigma open your eyes. But i wanted to tweak it , but ended up starting from scratch and after a few hours got that sound. And half of vanguard linked to the controllers on the 201 , and my god did that help than just faffing with your mouse!
