audacity recording help...anybody?
i just got my new audio interface...presonus inspire and for some reason im having issues with audacity.
at first it was recording, but strangely since i could distinctly hear me moving the faders up and down.
all my connections are correct...record out from mixer to input of soundcard...soundcard firewire to firewire on macbook.
normally on audacity it has that drop down menu for you to select what input you want to record from...that is for some reason just greyed out.
all the recording settings are the original one except to record in stereo instead of mono.
anybody have any idea what it may be?

audacity's fucking terrible on os x. so it could be anything really. i got rid of it and replaced it with sound studio 3.5 (it isn't free though, but i got 50% off, so i couldn't pass it up).
