Auralex removal... holy crap

so i'm trying to get this stuff off my walls right now (i used the auralex adhesive) and it is a NIGHTMARE. 4 of the panels i actually bought really cheap 1/8th polyfiber board, stuck it to that then screwed the board in. Those obviously can be removed and rescrewed anywehre i want but the panels i used the adhesive on are a pain.

i bought goo-gone but not doing anything. any tricks here? paint is starting to come off lol

Yes that would help.

But i assume you could always try using a blow dryer and an iron that has a steam function to kind of steam and heat away the adhesive.

try using lighter fluid or acetone, usually works well on adhesives... please continue to describe your progress as i was wondering about the removal part of stuff like that two days ago...
