Liquor stores/distributors specializing in rare spirits?
Are there any stores or distributors in the GTA, or even Ontario that deal with rare spirits? I've contacted a few, but it seems the stuff I really want they don't have, and the stuff they do have I need to order in packages.
or maybe someone can direct me to a local Canadian site? I've had really bad experience ordering expensive liquor overseas with customs. and going downs south is not a very good option--seeing as previous and recent trips have produced mediocre results at best.

Check out the LCBO on Yonge and Summerhill. They have a huge section devoted to vintages and rare spirits. I found a few things there that I have never seen in any other LCBO. Also, it might help if you tell us what exactly you are looking for.

+1
Google it and see if there is anywhere that would have it. Probably the best bet.

LCBO does not carry the bottles I'm looking for--in fact, they were the ones that directed me to their distributors, and they told me I can only purchase them in boxes.
I'm currently looking for:
Glenlivet 12 Year Old Unblended 1970's or 1980's
Glenlivet XXV
Glenlivet 1972 CC
Hennessy Paradis
a set of Hennessy Exclusive Collection XO Cognac Paradis
a set of Jack Daniel Prohibition Anniversary Limited Edition
and I'd love another set of JW Collection (the one with Green not Red label)
and not so rare, but still hard to find: a bottle of Everclear (190 proof) and a couple bottles of Captain Morgan Private Stock.
and some other single malt vintage bottles, but you get the idea.

how much money do you have to spend on booze?
i can think of many other more effective ways to spend your money.
edit: if you have a pharmacy license you can buy pure grain alcohol from the LCBO but almost nobody knows about this. i only know because my dad is a pharmacist. they will even deny it if you ask them (i've tried).

Well I have Everclear 150 proof and Bacardi 151 both 75%--but that's really interesting...I never knew you could do that at LCBO.
And I seldom drink the liquor I collect, only on very special occasions.
