Having no prior experience with music, and only having purchased a simple mic as a present to herself in the Summer of 2007, Mere quickly came to the attention of Josh Gabriel, half of the chart-topping production duo Gabriel & Dresden. After a simple bootleg-style remix of her demo track "Hot as Hades," being produced and hammered by G&D during the Spring of 2008, Mere wound up in league with Josh.
