Looks ok I think with 9" platter, waveform + usb and all that shit.
Denon's biggest problem was platter and software issues I'm curious how this one will work. Price around 1100 $
i really am turned off by denon's play/cue buttons.. feel so cheap compared to pios.. even my cdj100s use plastic and they look alot more solid and work great

I can't stand Denon decks. They just don't feel as natural as Pioneers if that makes sense. Not to mention they are ugly as sin.

I don't know about you, but this particular model doesn't look half bad at all, in a design POV.

lol, it looks alright for a Denon, but it still looks like balls. I just read up on it having midi capability which is interesting, but I would be willing to bet Pioneer will announce an update to the 1000 with similar specs.

HOLY SHIT! I fucking love that waveform display! I hope Pioneer gets on that shit ASAP.

For that amount of cash, it makes a lot more sense to just save up a little more and get a CDJ-1000

who uses cds anymore anyway? with the money for two of these decks, you can buy two cdj800's and dvs software and be all good. besides, there is no point to all these features on these decks if you can't use them with the dvs software anyway (ie no hot cues, looping etc.)

Meh all I hope is that this new Denon CD player will get Pioneer to update theirs with a color LCD screen and full waveform displays.

You can use CDJ looping in Torq, but there's no point bc the software creates perfect loops while the cdj doesn't. Moot point I suppose.
