Twice in a Blue Moon

So I finally got around to listening to Ferry's latest album. I've had it for a bit, but never had time cause of school and work and this and that.

but DDDDdddDAAAAAAMMMNNN FEEERRRRYYY!!!!

first off I think its waaaaaay better than PVD's In Between. waaaay better

favorite tracks... radio crash, brainbox, we belong, shanti. and the rest are all fucking SICK too. wowowowowow.

I feel like 09 could be ferry's year for #1.

i dunno. thats all. just wanted to force my opinion down everyones throats. thanks for that!!!!

PS I'm coming out next week for the first time since July. and it might get a little reckless\

Ravi, out

PPS i sucked at TA fantasy football. but hey, im already thinking about next years hidden gems.

iite. out

I was lucky enough to get the first CD's released at Full On Ferry. I have been listening to it for 2 months now and I loove it!!

My fav's are "We Belong" and "gabriella's Sky" (named after his daughter....so euphoric and trance-y and calming!!) Of course most people's favourite is "made of love" and "radio Crash"........

HUGE hits on this CD!!!! Such a creative and diverse array of tunes!! Every song is different and its such a great CD that he put together!! <3 <3 <3 Ferry never dissapoints

I think the official release date for USA stores is January 27th. But I think you can still buy it online!

sorry I don't share your sentiments - I'm actually quite on the opposite side of the spectrum. Perhaps I had higher expectations for someone of Ferry's calliber. Interestingly enough, since you mentioned PvD - that's the parallel I drew as well. But not in a good way - I thought that tracks followed the same pop sound that most of the "top" jocs have been doing lately. Boring vocal pop eurocheese crapola.

"Made of love" is the only good track on the album and even that one needs to be released as a dub because the lyric are already starting to annoy me. Too sugary, imo.

Overall, I think that Armin, PvD and Ferry are all guilty of releasing pop albums. Personally I think that DJ Mag poll is a kiss of death for any decent DJ. The moment they hit that #1 spot - it's all downhill from there. I guess it must come with the territory.

anywho. cheers. l8r.

I love the album as well. Its very very good- Made of Love is great. I actually like the Smack my Radio crash mash up better than the original track, but they are both great haha.

Gabriella is such a cute name for his daughter, just throwing that out there

add "life" to that list. imo, it owns elements of life, imagine and in betweem. possibly the best artist album of the pat 3-5 years.

can't wait for the remixes of made of love...especially mikes and stoneface & terminals
