Big Ears New Track Idea

Hey Guys,
Me and my buddy are working on this track:
http://framedrop.com/temp/seduction.mp3

I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion...

Thanks a million!

First thought is that you could use a touch of reverb on that first synth. Not sure about the synth at 50 secs , sounds way out of place.
Those vocals at 1.00 should be used more than they are. Some nice FX in there but some rubbish ones aswell. That synth at 2.06 should have more presence about it.Again the tinny piano spoils things abit for me.
At 4.55 sounds bad IMO ,
Overall i think the ohhh ahhh vocals could be the secret weapons in this , and they kinda remind me of southside spinners - luvstruck
The only thing i dont like is that tinny piano and its off key notes but good luck with it anyways.

Thank you so much for the feedback. You made some good points.
Interesting that you don't like the piano. It doesn't bother me (at least not the notes).
Anybody else has an opinion on that?

lol, yes the vocals really help this track
I'll try adding some filters to the piano and see what I can get...
Thanks again!

Ahh, you posted this before :

I think this has got some real potential, its got a nice groove going to it, and I like the little vocal samples you got in there.

I just think it could be improved, not sure exactly how, but there are some bits that dont fit 100% imo (the piano can sound a bit harsh in places for example), and some parts of the track seem to drag a little - not enough variation.

Overall, I think its got something, just needs a few alterations to make it perfect.

Hi,
Thank you for the comments.
I'll try softening the piano a bit and adding some variations....

I really like it, it has an awesome beat, you had me grooving in my seat!

I also agree that maybe a touch of reverb should be used on the synth at the beginning. The vocals are amazing and should be used more. At some points I think the delay/reverb on the vocals are overdone, so that you can't hear what is being said.

The piano notes are fine, the tone of the piano is odd, sounds like some detuning/vibrato going on which doesn't work for me.

I think it should have a bit more variation, like different layers making their appearance as a short single riff because at some points it drags on a bit long without the introduction of something new and exciting.

A build up that leads to a "WOW" moment should happen I think somewhere close to the end, and the sudden fade out at the very end just leaves me hanging, it should be more distinct and finalized.

Overall great job, you certainly have a lot of good stuff to work with, it's a song I would for sure listen to again once a few things are fixed!

I think you summed up really well what I need to work on.
I will definitely take all your comments into consideration.

Thank again!
