Hang on - how much are you paying?
Apart from specialist battle mixers (vestax etc.) the DJM 400 is the single most expensive 2 channel mixer on the market, and it really isn't that great quality.
Vestax have waaaaay better offerings for less than $400...for instance the Vestax pmc280 which is 4 channel, has loads of FX too, and completely outshines the DJM400 in both sound and build quality.

ohh ok man, thanks for the tip... i'll look into the vestax..
is there a noticible sound difference??
this is just for my bedroom and ocasional basement parties... i was thinking on the xone 92 but im not willing to put that amount of money on it,, is not for professional use and i dont think i need 4 channels, for now... i am very picky about sound quality though.

Depends. There is a difference in sound quality but not huge, but there is a big difference in build quality. The vestax is built like a tank.
the 92 is overkill for what you're doing and even though you;re only using 2 channels, what happens if you ever decide you need more? (new mixer!). I have turntables and CDJs so 4 channels is an absolute need, but bear in mind that the vestax is cheaper than the DJM so why not?
However I do understand that some people just like the feel of the DJM or it's simplicity. I personally think it's not great but OK and just quite overpriced when you compare it to the vestax.

True, but not even all of them at the same time. Even if you want to use 3 at the same time (any combo) or you have a very quick mix to do across different mediums and have them already cued. Also, I run my computer audio output back out my mixer and have my drum machine plugged in too.
