uli wöller - basically, collagen holds most animals together [hard/tech trance]
hi. this is an old set of mine i recorded some time ago. i've asked my mates for feedback on it, but they're useless fucks as they don't know anything about djing. so maybe i'll get better feedback here.
the set is mixed on 2 pioneer cdj-100s' and a vestax pcv-175 rotary. some of the transitions are a bit off, like the one into summer storm. but all kind of feedback is really appreciated.
set consists mostly of trance and some techno too. with this mix i tried to play something a bit harder (no cheesy female vocals here )
also some of the tracks sound quite lo-fi as one of my friend's pointed out. mainly the tracks from joof. they've probably not even mastered them, but i can't help it.
here's the tracklist:
01. the digital blonde - sutra
02. v-one - dead cities (return of the native remix)
03. moovon - rising (dj orkidea's higher spirit mix)
04. choci vs. dirtsnob - future is (choci mix)
05. mauro picotto - verdi
06. strom - time to burn (f.e.o.s. treatment)
07. marco v - godd
08. cherrymoon trax - the house of house (oliver lieb remix 1)
09. kai tracid - too many times (warmduscher remix)
10. u: phonics - running (thomas p. heckmann remix)
11. rank 1 feat. shanokee - such is life (deep dub - no breakdown re-edit)
12. twilight - platina (maurits paardekooper remix)
13. innergy - welcome asteroid
14. devilfish - summer storm
15. body-shock - the bishop
16. l.s.g. - netherworld (oliver prime remix) (outro)
set is 76:46 long 192 kbps mp3 about 108MB
edit: click here for the mix

Thank god someones still mixing hard trance out there, its a really solid track selection too with plenty of energy and maybe it's the beer right now but this takes me back to the 'fun' era of trance in clubs @2000-2001 which was a little raw with that nasty 'acid' edge to it.
The high range sounds a bit muffled in spots but I dont think it really detracts from it all, the Strom track also seems a little out of place though and wasnt so keen on it, maybe throw Plastic Boy- Angel Dust, Accenter & Three- Acid Bitch or something in there?
Cheers anyway its a good mix!

thanks for the feedback, i really appreciate it. i listened to the set from verdi to time to burn to godd again and i can now definitely see how time to burn might be out of place there. it's maybe a bit too "techno" there as it doesn't really have any melody going on.
