Vocal Editing Help.

So i am working on a trance song, it will be called Colby Jack, and yes it will be cheesy and toastie ^^

Anyways, how would i lower the volume of the 'to' phrase in this vocal i made?

http://tindeck.com/listen/oofy

i am sure there is a practical way, i'm using flstudio and edison and i cannot figure out a way to get the "to" [the tch sound before "trance" for those non native speakers] to sound right...in the end this clip will be vocoded all to obscurity, but the 'to' will still be prominent and i want it not so...

try compression or limiting... or if you don't like those you can "nomalize" the 'to' in some editing program, like audacity and such...

Doesn't FLS let you automate the volume? Just draw in an envelope that reduces the volume of the words you don't want.

Or, just split the clip immediately before and after of each of the "to"s and delete them. Just make sure that your remaining waveforms begin at a zero-crossing to avoid clicks/pops, or automate a quick volume envelope at the beginning of each remnant clip (i.e., just before "trance") to reduce any clicks.
