the thing actually scared me - i was in my kitchen (That's the window you see) and i heard this weird sound outside the door; and at first i thought it was a squirrel in the attic and i was like, "well fucking shit" and then i looked out, flipped on the light and saw it scrambling around. i think its a humingbird

Not a hummingbird. Their wings beat to fast for it to be one, and they can move/hover much better than that little thing was. If it was an Australian bird, I'd say it was some kind of fantail, but like I said, I can't see much of the detail on it's feathers or anything.

Ya we used to get them in our house in el salvador... they go CRAZY trying to get out, so we would just ask the maid to pick take it out...
