OK, well at least you're receiving MIDI from the Voyager - that's good. I have no idea as to why Logic doesn't store the MIDI and play it back, but that sounds like a Logic issue and not a hardware issue. So, yeah, check your manual and hopefully a fellow Logic user will come along to help you out.
Also, you could try to reassign an existing soft synth MIDI track (i.e., already has notes registered) to the Voyager. In other words, open one of your existing projects, choose one of the soft synths, and reassign its MIDI output so that it send the data to the Voyager, rather than the soft synth.
