FLL to SoBe

What is the cheapest way to get from the airport in Fort Lauderdale to SoBe? We are looking at taking the train down to MIA and taxing over from there. Are there any direct shuttles into SoBe? I found one but it is $68.

We flew into FLL last year and they have airport shuttles that can take you to South beach and its only like 20 a person.

Paid $12 bucks per person i think last year on the "Go" busses. They even take each person directly to their hotel.

When I went in 2005 they had those shuttles that take you straight to your hotel. I forgot the name of them.

Many hotels also offer FREE airport shuttle services.

Although I may not have the money for it now, may I ask how much you're paying for the rental? Where you're getting the rental, how many days, Insurance, etc.?

Just for the really broke people, the cheapest possible option is take the Broward County #1 bus to Aventura Mall (it picks up at the bag claim and Aventura is the end of the line), then transfer to the Miami-dade beach bus (believe it's #2, ask for a transfer when you get on the bus at the airport). It takes about 2 hours to south beach but only costs $1.75.

Just two of us, i think we found a car service that was like $38/person. We get in at about 6am on Monday so I think that will be the best option.
