another album similar to Global Underground 24:Rekjavik
Hey guys,
I'm trying to find another album thats similar to the first disc of Global Underground 24: Rekjavik mixed by Nick Warren. I was listening to it yesterday and I know its old but I love the atmosphere he sets up throughout the whole disc moving from chillout to downtempo stuff, and quickens the tempo to breakbeat and slow progressive house. Any recommendations on other albums with a similar atmosphere? Here is the tracklist to the first disc if you guys have forgotten.
Disc: 1
1. Dub In Time - Avatar
2. Firewire - Substructure
3. Compass Error - Atlas
4. Nobody's Home - Ulrich Schnauss
5. Roll Call - Shuffleheads
6. Happy Cycling - Boards Of Canada
7. Thinking About Your Next Move - Yunx
8. Tightrope Artist Tale - Planet Funk
9. The Dive - Momu
10. In Every Truth - Mastermind
11. Helga Moller - Justin Simmons
12. Outsider - Burufunk
13. 14:31 - Global Communication
14. 110 Mistakes - Mot
15. Yewminist - Grayarea
16. Love Lost - Glimmer Of Dope

Hey Andy! I recommend the first disc of Nick Warren's GU030: Paris, very similar to the first disc or Reykjavik. Also, I highly recommend this set from a fellow TA:

Nick was working on various different versions for the release. This was one of them. I think the version that went in the official release is the better of the 2. Nick put it in his website back in 2006 and a ripped it the morning he put it on there.

Yeah, with the exception of a couple of standout tracks that weren't included in the officially released version, I think the released version was the better of the two; really didn't find that the tracks he would eventually use to kick off the first disc worked very well to wind them down, but perhaps I've just come to expect Firewire and Compass Error to be the first two things I hear when pressing play.
