What I could hear on the myspace player sounded promising, but I am not going to write a criticism based on what I can hear on a myspace player. If you can put it up at a file-hoster, I'd be happy to offer my review.

This is a really nice tune.

You make good use of space.

Sometimes the reverb tails got to be a little stressful on my ears, but I've been mixing a tune of my own for a while, so wait for a second opinion on that - unless it's something that's been bugging you, too (perhaps in the back of your mind).

The kick drum felt a touch under-powered, but that could be a stylistic preference of mine. In general, I think the bass could be kicked up by just a little.

I like the slow-attack bass-line, but I thought there should be one with a little more punch - again, a possibly stylistic preference and I'm certainly no person to be saying a track's bass-line isn't prominent enough. It just felt like, for this song, it ought to be there. Don't get rid of the bass you already have, should you heed this critique - just add to it.

I love the hi-hat ruffs/flams. They sit very will within the mix and sound almost transparent - beautiful sound design, on those.

During the break, I would cut the vocoder, entirely, as the chords start coming in. I wouldn't bring the vocoder back in, until after the track gets going again. The first vocoder of the break sounds good, though - keep that. In general regard to the vocoder, I think there is a lot more going on in this song than just that, and that you ought to experiment with taking as many instances of it out as you can, while maintaining your original intent with this tune. The beauty is there - you just have to get out of the way to let it reveal itself. I would try using it just once every 16 to 32 measures.

The up-shot is that I really, really like this tune. It's very pretty and has a subtle, without being ultra-cheesy, uplifting vibe to it. The mix, apart from my stylistic concerns is fairly flawless.

Thanks Eddie for taking you time to preview the track and make those suggestions. They definitely are appreciated!

I took sometime and tried to apply some of your suggestions to the track. I have uploaded it to this link:
