i tried it, and its pretty enjoyable. it is arcadey, but then again if you wanted a realistic flight simulator you would spend all your money on a PC and pedals and never have money or time for a console.
compared to ace combat, it features real world areas, although still has 'upgraded, futuristic' versions of currentish jets. it strikes a nice balance with the advanced control feature so that you can fly a little crazier, with a better camera (ie not stuck in afterburner view). havent played enough to determine whether i would buy it. i just usually fuck around with flight sims, and this one is pretty|

i played hte demo last nightl... i twas nice. specialy when you turn the computer off and you are free of hnts bu the comupter

If there's one thing that really pisses me off about hawx is that every time I see how goddamn gorgeous it looks, it reminds me of the fact that we haven't had a proper flight sim in years, and that the best we get are incredibly arcadey games like this that are really addressed to people who aren't into flight sims in the first place.
