this cd sounds almost nothing like trance whatsoever, it's like mainstream alternative... sorry for the big fuss everybody, I just needed to vent a little bit.. I was really dissapointed when I heard this cd

this cd was never meant to be a trance album in case you didn't know. he wanted to return to his "roots" and to the music he grew up listening to. thats pop and RnB.

argh, I didn't know... got all excited too I'm still disappointed.. oh well.. let this be a lesson for anybody else who's expecting trance from the new oak album!!!

the one with Ice Cube was done for the Blade 2 soundtrack

This album is not that bad if you take it for what it is, which is mixture of different styles of music. I give Oakenfold some credit for going away from his norm, and trying something new. Some of the songs on the album I really like, especially the chill ones like "Zoo York" and "Hold Your Hand", they feel almost like something from Massive Attack. Other songs like "Starry Eyed Surprise" and "Get Em Up" I could do without, but that's just because I don't like cRAP. Sure this album may be a disappointment if you're expecting the 1999 Oakie, but I think people need to realize that he's breaking away from the trance scene and moving in a different direction.
