torq connectiv + traktor vinyls + traktor scratch = ?

= profit i think.

i'm getting sick of the torq software- it's ugly, and with the new versions with all the bells and whistles it skips horrendously, every track, on multiple occasions.

so i procured a copy of traktor scratch and configured scratch mode with ASIO4ALL drivers (with the connectiv interface) and used the TORQ control vinyls and... it works. at half the BPM than usual, but it works nonetheless. turning the RPM on my decks to 45RPM makes the average BPM around 105 and @ 90RPM it's around 180.

so i'm inclined to believe that if i use timecoded traktor scratch vinyls instead of the connectiv ones, i'll be able to use the traktor scratch software and run it through the connectiv, saving me hundreds of dollars on an Audio8 interface. anyone have any input/experience?

procured meaning p2p or torrent?

ive heard that you need a native-instrument certified mixer or soundcard in order to make it really work, but i have no clue. i jumped the torq ship to serato scratch

not yet, i was going to but i got lazy. is there a way of getting the traktor scratch CD timecode so i can compare (i.e. can you copy and burn the traktor timecode on a cdr)?

and it's the actual BPM AND what it's displaying. i think it's because it's a different timecode (perhaps the connectiv timecode is natively pitched lower than the traktor timecode), but then again i'm just speculating

The big question is, would you really trust it in a live environment?

So:

1. You stole traktor scratch pro (hacked version I assume)? FAIL number one. It's also known to be buggy.
2. You aren't using the audio 8 or a certified mixer.
3. Timecode is proprietary. Torq uses the MS Pinky timecode signal, Traktor uses their own format and it's a 2KHz signal vs. the 1KHz signal that Torq uses. It mind sound the same, and even sorta do something, but it WILL NOT work right.

i'm saying the torq timecode works, straight up. plays and controls everything with vinyl- BUT it plays at half the bpm as usual.

And I'm saying if it plays at half the bpm, its not really working, is it?

I accidentally put an old Serato timecode cd in once, and it did the same thing.

Just go get a couple traktor records for $40.
