I'm not sure whether it can be done in Reason, but a cool efect is that you modulate the sweeping by LFO and automate it's time...plus automate the cutoff

so the filter is opening smoothly and the LFO makes some sort of "vibrato effect" on the sweep going faster and faster ...

Reason is not a VST. But you can make good sweeps in it yes, and if u have v4 i would use thor instead of malstroem.

The "jet engine" sound can be made with comb filtering.

I made a nice sweep in Reason, using the Subtractor. Only annoying thing is that it makes a distinct 'pop' when you sequence it, but then you get a nice sweep when you automate the filter. Just automate the fader, and voila

rob papens predator has white noise waveforms, so you could set all 3 lfo's to white noise and then use envelopes to create the sweeps

I guess you mean OSC's .
But there is actually no use assigning 3 OSC's with white noise, because they have no fundamental, there is really no difference between 1 or 3, it only thickens the sounds (unison).

im not sure its possible to detune whitenoise lol, it sounds impossible to detune something without a tune. have never tried tho.

It's easy, just sample your own white noise generator and then play it back at two (or more) slightly different pitches at once. Gives a kind of "phasy" effect:
