Well mine's already started and I'm not even there yet. I got sick last week, which resulted in an ear infection. My ear drum ruptured yesterday. I didn't think I was even going to be able to fly until today when I got the OK from the doctor. I have to cut out a lot of my events, especially the louder indoor ones. I have ear plugs, but I dont know how well they are going to work.

my friends rented a condo via Craigslist...put down like $2500 or $3000, and find out its a scam! the guy just posts adds on the vacation rental part of craiglist, has you send him the $, he sends you a contract and disappears with your $$$.

they just had to pay another $3K to get a 2br condo!

they already went to the police station today to file a police report....they have the guy's address and other info...who knows they may eventually get their $ back...

even if they get their $ back down the road, its a totally sucky way to start the conference.

a check is cash. really sucks for them, but never, never pay with cash... only credit cards.

i know what you are saying but when you rent vacation homes from private owners, a very large % take checks only....
