JP-8080 Problem

Just a quick question,

I was tweaking around and when I was finished I loaded up a couple of the factory presets and they began sounding different...like, totally different. For example (those of you that own a JP) the GuitarKiller sound did not sound the same anymore. I restarted the machine but nothing, I even did a reset and yet--nothing. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks...

What happens when you preview directly on the synth (using the patch buttons) instead of playing it via keyboard?
