Latest sound card drivers? latest video card drivers? what does the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) say?

Do you have enough RAM to run the program? Do you have any external equipment that you are trying to use with it?

whilst I've never had a blue screen, there always seems to be something in traktor that doesn't work right, but next time I fire up the issue is gone, and there's somethign different not working well. i still don't feel it's all that stable even up to 1.1.2

The main problem I'm finding from all the reading I've done about people and their Traktor setups is that they don't seem to be able to get the program to just work on multiple systems with different specs.

I've read countless accounts of problems from numerous sites all with small different problems here and there. (which is expected as those with problems will be a lot more vocal than those without).

I personally have never had a problem (touch wood) and I know quite a few others who have never had it bug out on them. I've had the odd small skip after enabling key lock or clicking a loop for the first time. But that's about it and it doesn't seem to do that any more since the 1.1.2 update.

It just seems that with all the features it just makes it near impossible to make this system rock solid on both platforms with all the different configurations out there.

Personally, it's been awesome and I'm getting to gribs with it more and more these days. 4-6 hour sessions without a single hick up.. Midi controllers working like a dream (DX2) and all in all I'm uber happy. I just feel so bad for those who are having problems as paying this much money and not getting your moneys worth Sucks Dick..

To the OP, Fingers crossed your problem above doesn't surface again. Maybe check out the native instruments site to see if anyone else knows what might have happened.

Good luck,
steve

You can set Windows to not automatically reboot when it BSOD's.

Go into 'System Properties' (Control Panel or right-click on 'My Computer' (the real one, not shortcuts) > Properties, or start > run : sysdm.cpl) and under the 'Advanced' tab, click 'Settings' under 'Startup and Recovery' and uncheck the option to automatically restart.

This should give you enough time to write down relevant information from the BSOD.

I think a lot of problems like that are not necessarily Traktors fault. The big problem i see is shitty audio drivers. Bad drivers tend to cause a lot of BSODs
