Any photographers in the CORe?

Quick question.
Do you guys know of any place I could find or even download an instructional DVD or something for the Canon Rebel XSi?

Thanks for your help.

I was a little daunted when I got my first SRL. I'd do a search on youtube.

I think you'd have a hard time finding an instructional DVD for it, but you can get the manual on Canon's website here:

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/c...4&modelid=16303

I could be wrong though, maybe there's a vid out there.

Edit: I seem to remember you have a background in photography Enigmatik? The manual should be enough for you to get a feel for what you're doing with the cam.

Ah, ok, no probs. Wasn't sure if you got it second hand without a manual or something. Happy hunting

Edit again: Is there something specific you're trying to figure out how to do, or you just wanted a general type of thing?

Just a general sort of tutorial.. I'm looking for something similar to this but for the XSi model: http://images.photoworkshop.com/reb.../interface.html

Only three things you need to know:

Aperture, ISO and shutter speed.

Those are the obvious basics. There it a lot more you can do with a digital camera, for example exposure compensation, auto exposure bracketing for HDR etc. etc. etc.

Enikmatik - The tutorial thing you posted might be worth watching anyway. The Rebel XT and the Rebel XSi aren't really that different. From memory, the user interface is extremely similar too (I used to have an XT).

My girlfriend has that camera. Any specific questions? She works in a photo studio so she should probably know. I'd be happy to ask her.
