hi Ezet, I am checking your track out now.
as someone who has been making electronic music since the age of 13 (i'm almost 26!) my best advice is to keep learning and experimenting! there is no right or wrong way to make music, just continue to learn and figure out your own style. it will take you at least 1 year of solid practice to get to a level of comfort.

after listening to your track its actually hard to believe you've only been producing for 2 weeks. I've heard people's tracks who have been working for 2 years that don't have as much technique as this song. Granted it does need a bit of work on flow and building, but the melodies are very nice and has a good atmosphere. for a 'first track' its way above par.
so with that said i'd say either your musical future is very bright, or a bunch of pre-made loops were used.
what kind of software did you use for this track?

Thank you for your positive comments Psilogod, much appreciated! I've been at it roughly two weeks, perhaps 3 if counting the period before I actually had any software/hardware, which I spent reading forums and tutorials.
As far as loops go I've never actually used loops for anything, and I have yet to figure out why I'd want to use loops instead of oneshots etc. Perhaps someone could enlighten me as to why and how often loops are being used in quality EDM productions?
I'm using Ableton Live at the moment, coupled with various free/cheap vst's. I might try FL Studio, but at the moment I'm happy with Ableton, and the other DAWs are mostly outside of my price range.
Aside from that, do you have any specific suggestions or ideas for parts I should work on? Again any constructive feedback is most welcome, be it positive or negative

yay, cheers for the motivating feedback, I really appreciate it! I'll definitely try out the suggestions provided, and I'll let you know when a new version is up.
David.Michael: Well, I used to be a drummer in a band, so you're right. I've also been DJing for years, and my work and involvement with LiquidFM and EDM in general has probably provided me with some useful insight aswell.
I'll make sure to check out your tracks and comment to the best of my ability.
I just hope this isn't "first timer luck". :P

I am frankly finding it hard to believe you have been producing for 2 weeks, but if so - that comment can only be a compliment right?
Well, cool relaxed track.....
I think people use loops cause, well some of us are a bit lazy and u can get some great sounds from them. I would say dont be scared of using them, its all about what sounds good and not about how wildly original it is. I think using loops in this may help, u never know.
some people even make their own synth sounds from scratch.. Im far too lazy to do this myself, but kudos to those that do.
Anyway, keep it up mate
