Same here, I battled at Studio 81 @ Yonge & Cummer when I was a child. Lost alot of money, but it was the place to learn SF2.
There was a fat taiwanese kid name Dave there, he was light years a head of everyone and had "jap" timing for all of his technical attacks. With Guile, he did invisable throws, freezing + double & triple freezing the game ... unfreezing, this guy was "thee" champ. Very humble guy and was willing to teach and train everyone. Right before SF2CE came out, he did this combo during gameplay towards me and still makes me wonder how he did it ...

Jump HP, Stand LP, Stand HP & Blade Kick ... we all know what happend when your timing is wrong with "Stand HP & Blade Kick", the game shuts down and you would have to repay all the credits in the machine to everyone.
Playing the old SF online with ppl now, it reminded me how unblanaced the game was back then and you truely relive how "cheap" things really made you angry ... it's BS and close to impossible to get out.
