I would say that 100+ people dying from a deadly virus which has the capacity to kill thousands worldwide is fairly big news.

If Brad Pitt were to get a new haircut there would probably be more of a fanfare.

Other than it being a unique strain, I don't see how it is any different than the regular flu that kills far more people than this one has.

It's just a mutation of the flu... which has the same effect as all the other flus from what I gather.

Ok but seriously, it's just the flu. I don't think it's that big of a deal.

I am honestly open to discussion on how this strain of flu is somehow more dangerous/aggressive/alarming/scary/etc.etc. than the regular flu and the many strains that already exist. Please provide sources. Kthxbye.
