more like early 2000's. God of War, Wipeout Pulse, Tekken Dark Resurrection look just as good as the PS2 versions. They can squeeze a good bit of power out of that system. If the Go gets modded to play SNES and PS1 roms, I'm all over it.

Looks pretty slick, but no UMD drive? Isn't that alienating quite a bit of software? I guess that'll do wonders for the battery life, though.

Also, still no second analog nub? Then again, adding one would basically make this PSP an entirely new entry, since already-existing PSP games would not be compatible. Well...then again they COULD make it work, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

if it's moddable, I'll grab it. I doubt it since the later previous versions aren't, but maybe a workaround will surface.

The 3000 is now modable..but not completely. Apparently you need to reboot it a few times for the custom firmware to load. The 3000 generates some random number every time it reboots designed to make it hard to crack..but people recently did it. It just takes a few reboots to get it to load properly. I'm willing to bet Sony learns from their mistake and makes the PSP Go impossible to crack. Better grab a 3000 or 2000 while you still can. I posted a hot deal on the 2000 below on the forum..It's still available for $112 shipped from Dell.

The 2k is fully moddable, with no weird issues like serveral reboots to get it working? I don't know too much about the psp mod scene.

Pay no heed to pkc, he is just angsty over the fact that very soon all PC games are merely going to be shoddy ports of console titles.
