i dunno if it's just me, but in the past 3-4 months since i started promoting myself, i've had about 5 different promoters/club managers say they liked my stuff, say they'll call, then never do. are they just being lazy bastards!? if they dun like it, dun have time for me...is it really that hard to say it to my face? it's really pissing me off...has stuff like this happened to anyone else on here? need to kno that i'm not alone in being pissed on.

yah man i feel u. i've been given the run around and shafted many times by promoters!

and even after i've been assigned a gig they've canceled or changed my time slot to some other shitty time slot (but sometimes timeslot changes actually worked out for the better =P )

next time its best to get their business card, saying something like, "hey do you have a business card or a number i can reach you at?"

Well, i guess promoters are busy, but you should take the initiative yourself to call them. This says to them, that you are interested and not irresponsible. Some jobs are like this too.

Remember, you are the one that wants to get somewhere and possibly get paid. Take the initiative
