I always have a contingency plan. I would put on a really long track (10-17 minutes) before I go and make sure I have a loop set in place near the end, just in case.
Actually, here's the last time I had to to that - last month, during my techno set - and I used a classic Choice - Acid Eiffel ( http://www.discogs.com/Choice--Soof...d/release/17517 ) track and it worked like a charm. The only other time I had to go was last summer during a house music party, and I had no problem utilizing this track in that situation:
