Cool Licence Plates

Custom licence-plates are ftw, I'm sure most of you agree.

Over here we can't get them like in America (i.e AZZKIKR), our plates just consist of three letters, followed by three numbers (i.e HÄM-15) which is Finnish for 'Spidey', naturally that would be GrimReaper's plate

In Sweden you can get them with a custom-text, first one I ever saw over there was 'HARALD' lol

What are your favorites?

It can be from a movie, or real-life.

The dude a few doors up the street has a riced up WRX with the plates saying '51UTZ'.

One of the funniest ones I've seen belonged to a guy driving a Trans Am WS.6 (it's still amazing Pontiac is gone).

His license plate said SVT KLR (if you don't know, it's referring to the Ford SVT Cobra).

We wound up speaking at a red light, and I mentioned his license plate. He said 'thanks, but people seem to think it reads 'Soviet Killer.'

On a related F-Body note, there was a guy around my neighborhood with a Camaro SS with the plate '8UR SVT;' lotta SVT hate out there.

It also seems M3 owners (and M car owners in general) are keen on the customized license plate. Saw one that read 'EMPOWRD;" rather fond of that one.

One of the more bizarre one's I've seen was a WRX with a license plate that attempted to phonetically spell out the sound of his blow off valve: 'VRMPSHH.'

that's awesome

I keep wanting to get a custom plate but it's too expensive to re-register it every year. If when I do I'm getting "HAUS ME"...but it will only work on a German car

Nice

I just saw an Audi RS2 with a RS-2 plate, and M3 with 'ÄM-3'.. Which would make it EMM-3 or something in English.

It's lame that we can't have those ones with all custom text, because with the way ours are, there are only so many options you can use

VRMPSHH!

Those are boring though So many people have plates just showing the model number of the car, or lame shit like 'MY AMG' or 'BMW-001'

I wonder if anyone's rocking 'A55-RP3' or 'F5T-1N6'

California (not sure about the rest of the country) allows quite a decent amount of options: combinations of not only letters, spaces, and numbers, but symbols like a hand, heart, star, etc.

Not that it matters, as it seems that all the clever ones have already been taken.

Back when there was a pretty heated rivalry between the S4 and the M3, I saw an S4 with the plate 'S POWER,' clearly in response to BMW; doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

My old boss managed to score 'ITS FAST,' which, for many years, he had attached to his 97 (?) 500 SL; and it certainly was reasonably quick. However, he went ahead and wound up buying a 2003 E 320, but kept the license plate! So he's rolling around with base model E Class with the license plate 'ITS FAST.'

EDIT:

This is also pretty solid:

Nothing's worse than these fucking things, which apparently seem to be all the minivan rage these days:

It makes you look like a domestic twat.
