So, I'm doing some house-keeping on my computer and the net and migrating a bunch of stuff over from former file hosts to Soundcloud and thought I'd put up this full-length, mixed album I produced and released back in 2008. All of the production work is mine and music (except where otherwise noted) is also mine.
A few people here have already heard it. Most everyone who has, has had generally good things to say about it.
FWIW, I felt it disingenuous to put it in the DJ promotion forum since this was basically produced entirely in my DAW. Regardless, I hope you guys enjoy it.
Feel free to comment.
NOTE: Also, if you like what meriter did with my tunes, you'll love what he's done with his. SMOOOOOTH!

Listening now. What is this player you're using? That's pretty slick.

I just finished listening.. this is good stuff! The overall sound quality is suffering though, I don't know if that's from the encoding or what. It sounds like it was mixed on a system that's really heavy on the highs. There's not much going on in the low end either. What kind of setup are you using?

It's the same as I'm using, currently. Cakewalk Project 5. It's a little light on the bass and I may re-master it, at some point, as it was done a long time ago and I'm learning a hell of a lot more than I knew back when it was first released.
It may be the encoding on the stream (128kbits tends to be harsh), but I suspect some of that could be alleviated in the future.

Sounds pretty nice on a skim-through, but you really ought to re-do the mixing on all of the tracks. The muddiness and lack of high-end detract from the music, I think.

GAH!
Between the two of you, this mix ought to be perfectly balanced!
But thanks. FWIW, I'm currently toying with a remaster.

I'm pretty sure we agree, actually. meriter said it sounded like you used a system that was heavy on the highs, i.e. you used a system where the highs were loud and overcompensated by turning them down too much. At least, I think that's what he meant.

That's a good possibility. Regardless of disparity or congruence - neither are what I was hoping for.

Yes that's what I meant. If you wanted I could master this for you in no time. It wouldn't really take much and I'd be happy to do it...
