Never partied in Montreal before so need some advice of where to go this weekend. 2 friends and I will be staying in the city Friday - Sunday.
I need some place with good trance/progressive. And another with more more house/top 40 kind of music (not my choice)
And good DJ's in town this weekend? Dissapointed that I'll miss Gareth Emery.
Any help is appreciated.

If you like Tech House, there is piknic with Lee Burridge on Sunday. It is outside and if the weather is good it is probably one of the best things that Montreal has to offer.

for your trance you have Rank 1 at Red Lite this Friday and go to Lamouche or Opera for the other top 40/house stuff. Someone had to answer that post

Ummm it's confirmed on Rivers' myspace as well as in another thread that his launch party will be held at produkt loft... Not such a gr8 thing considering the volume issues Fanciulli had last time...
But for top40 go to opera or lamouche or radiolounge
For the closest thing to prog, I guess karma will be ur best bet
And for trance, as some1 else said, I think rank1 is playing red lite which is an afterhours...
And the best event this wkend hands down is lee burridge @ piknik June 14...if u like lee's style that is...
Have fun in mtl!

Afterhours is a state of mind, but significantly, it's more a state of 'I don't mind'. A determined continuation, contentment and relief that 'it ain't over yet!' An injection of music into attitude and occasion which creates an emotional wave forth that isolates globally, a ringing harmonic, a signal to a like-minded collective that 'we are only us'.
