In particular, bands like Earth, Sunn 0))), and things of that nature?
I've been getting into it more and more. Wondering if anyone here has some seminal albums I should hear and artists I should look out for

I have been following Tiesto since 99. I was immediately enthralled by what I still regard the best electronic CD ever compiled, Magik VI Live in Amsterdam. This CD is loaded with uplifting, energetic, blood moving tracks intricately mixed with angelic perfection. From that moment on, I could feel the magik flowing through my veins while listening to the music that Tijs carefully samples and produces. His creativity allows him to develop the concepts of songs that bring life and energy to people around the world.

Also, suggestions for psychedelic folk/drone folk will work as well.
Think Pink Mountaintops/Tiny Vipers.
And here's the only sample I could find of those suggestions:
and Tiny Vipers - Forest on Fire in particular. I can't find a sample of that track, but here's another one she's done that I could find

Are they more instrumental? I'll check 'em out, but I'm picky on vocals

On Pandora now and it suggested The Mermen. Good scheiße. It's like beach-inspired ambient doomness.

Jesu works, though they're a bit hit or miss for me with the vocals.

Sorry man I'm not really into the genre, I just remember listening to this band years ago. From memory they were pretty bad but then again so are some peoples taste.

Everybody's tastes are shit to someone
But with a name like Bongzilla I'm a bit apprehensive.
As for Isis, which album/tracks in particular?

Oceanic and Panopticon are probably their best. The newer stuff is kind of meh.
You might really like Red Sparowes, its has members of Isis and is more instrumental/experimental.
i found an enjoyment for it when my mate introduced me to it a few years ago. still not delved deeper into the genre though. but it's safe to say that stephen o'malley is the michael jordan of the genre.

Red Sparowes were ok. As well as Pelican. They were a bit too heavy for me though. And discogging Isis led me to believe they'll be hardcore and heavy.
I remember Russian Circles being pretty nice.
I prefer Earth heavy, downtuned guitars and heavy riffs without being laden with distortion. Pandora's picking some neat stuff though ^_^ Lungfish is the business!
