Movie Review: Rolling
no im not rolling.im talking about the movie "rolling".
first off,i liked the "mockumentary" aspect of the film it helped make it different and puts it in a category all its own in the club/rave film genre.and while you realize its predictability almost immediately, and most of the acting is sub par,it delivers when it counts, especially with some funny one liners, and in some parts emotionally charged scenes that are delivered well by the actors.
people who can "relate" to the film will probably find themselves saying "thats what id say" when the actors are giving their faux interviews about ecstacy.or at least finding themselves identifying with one or more of the actors during their comments of the drug.and the film does a good job (or at least some of the actors do) of creating the illusion that they are under the influence of ecstacy which helps them overcome some of their mediocre acting skills.
overall, while not as great as such other low budget club/rave movies,id definitely recommend it to clubbers and edm fans who make it a point to watch movies like these.the story is solid enough and there are a number of scenes that are done well to bypass the lack of acting skills.rent it for sure it should please many.
