A friend of mine was a Beatport developer until recently, and I'm pretty sure he didn't receive any discounts on music.

It's very rare to get discounts on music, specially at sites like Beatport, iTunes, etc. In order to get a discount, it means that either the store or the artist/label (or maybe both) receives less money.
