i'm on the hunt for classical samples as i know until i own a mac and logic i'll have to make do.
im mainly intreated in string sections for now.
i've been looking for sometime now and it seams i'm reduced to sampling my own stuff from concerts ect. not really much of a choice its mainly the harmonics i seek.
i work with up to speed synths but wish to develop my classical ear.

You mean you're looking for a sample set so that you can write your own string sections? I don't know what you mean when you say you want to "develop your classical ear."

I wish to recreate a classical peace or parts at least and not ones that have been made before,it has to be my own work.
basically i'm trying to find real sounds from real classical instruments. so i can tune my ears in for a more mature sound. off course i can just play real peaces of music, but i want natural stuff to work with.
Garriton Personal Orchestra is pretty widely used and is pretty good as well for mockups, etc. (I have the limited edition "Pocket" edition for DimPro)
Both of these have their own player - EWQLSO uses the PLAY engine and GPO uses the Kompakt player (included, AFAIK). Search the KVR forums and you'll probably find more threads on this topic than you'll care to read. HTH.
