Demon's Souls

Fun action RPG with interesting elements of multiplayer. Me and a buddy just shipped 2 copies of this from Play-asia, and its becoming one of my favorite titles so far for the ps3. Its fairly hard, though I hear lots of complaints about how its getting easier with each patch. Lots of frustrating moments with lots of fun gameplay. Its like a more action version of Oblivion mixed with Monster Hunter. Customizing characters are fun but the wierd thing is that while class structure is only has superficial difference in early game, in late game, everyone has the same stuff and can get the same stats no matter what you choose to be early on.

The developers made the game multi language, so when you put it in, all the voices and words are in english, so its playable even though your manual will be in chinese. Game will be released in like 5 months in North America, but I recommend if you want to try out a new action RPG, this is it.

The real fun part isnt even the stages or maps with all the tedious monsters, its pretty much the boss fights and how hard and fun they are when your playing with a friend. The game has lots of potential even though I doubt it will appeal to NA casual players, unless they dumb the game down more, but this is definately a challenging RPG to say the least.

I've been hearing a LOT of good things about this game, though I have a feeling the difficulty level might turn me off. I'll be buying once Atlus brings the game to the states, I buy like 75% of what Atlus puts out, anyways...

Challenging to say the least. But worth the reward sometimes when you finally start finishing bosses and upgrading your character with nice stuff. Though I can see myself getting bored of this game after a few runs.
