Question For those who record to your pc

What do you use to record your mix on your pc? I'm talkin straight from the mixer to your pc. What program do you use. I'm lookin for a better one, so any suggestions would be great. I use cool edit pro right now, but I'm lookin for something alittle bit better.

Bear

I have soundforge 5 and cool edit pro 2.0

they are both very similar,, cool edit pro 2 is not like 2000 ( i think that one..) as it's alot better, and can be used as a multitrack device.

For recording mixes I use cooledit cause when u trim stuff, like silence at the beginning of the track, it doesnt take forever to re-load the ENTIRE TRACK like soundforge. and its faster for splicing up mixes into tracks.

I use soundforge for recording samples of stuff.. and for mastering audio and adding fx.. as long as the file size is small it works nicely!

so my recommendations:

go with cool edit pro 2.0 for recording live sets.
