Possible to record ONLY front channels in surround setup? (Traktor LE....)
Alright, a bit of a strange question... let me see if I can clarify.
A buddy of mine uses Traktor LE which came with the MIDI controller he bought. LE does not support native mix recording like the full version.
He is using his computer's surround setup to configure master out, monitoring, etc. Essentially, what happens is that he monitors with his headphones via the rear surround output.
This setup works fine for him, except that when he tries to record via Audacity, it records everything... even what he's cueing (rear surround). Audacity is set up for 2 channel (stereo) recording, but it doesn't matter.
It seems to me that there should be a way around this. Any ideas?
