Hello!

Yummy.....!

The Technics MK3 shown here in black (black available to Japan only, hopefully it will be available to Western shores).
Looks too sweet to be true.



Here it is the 1200 MK4, with 75 rpm and has reverse on them.


I'm going Japan to hunt them down. hehe

Hmm, 78 rpm is pretty useless, considering you need a special cartridge to play 78 records (and I don't think there's too many of them available, certainly nothing you'd be interested in). The MK3 looks like the M3D but with black finish ... the MK4 is somewhat of an overkill, considering its tonearm is platinum-coated and it costs over $700 ...
I'm happy with the MK2s =)

the MK3 and MK4 have been out for a while.. it was out in Asia last summer..
shud've hit the states there not too long later.. maybe on import order.. but they were definitely released in AUgust 2000

Hmm, another thing, I was wondering if somebody knows for sure (I can guess myself) what the little silver blobs on the headshell are. They look like their purpose might be to put more weight on the needle ... just instead of the classic black weight you put between the cart and the headshell, this one seems to be removable without taking apart the complete headshell. Probably made so people don't have to tape coins to the headshell for more tracking force.
